Sharon is our representative at The Hub in Eastleigh, offering classes in pole on a Tuesday night! She will also soon be starting beginners aerial hoop classes at JD Studio on Sundays too! Sharon has been a regular student here at SFAA so it was only natural that she should be a representative of our brand for her own classes! Some of our JDS students might not know Sharon very well, so read on to find out more!

Emily is the newest instructor for SFAA. She will be starting a small beginners hoop class in September and also helps out with the administrative side, writing some of the incredible blog posts, not that I’m biased or anything… A lot of you will know Emily from generally loitering around the studio but read on below to find out more! The next instructor that we are going to find out all about is Sarah! A lot of you will already know Sarah, either from classes or events, but I bet looking at the list of workshops and qualifications contained in her bio I’m sure you will find out something that you didn’t know! Sarah has been teaching for us for over a year now and has become a huge part of the SFAA family! Sarah’s regular students will know that she is renowned for her strength-based style! Read on below to find out all about Sarah’s incredible pole journey…. Ok as promised we are going to introduce our wonderful instructors over the next couple of weeks! The first instructor in our all-star lineup is Julie! Now most of our regular students will know Julie as the studio owner/beating heart of the studio, flying in and out of the studios with endless energy and a wicked giggle, but not everyone will know her as SFAA instructor Julie… Read on to find out more… So that’s it… We are now closed for lessons for a two week summer break! All of the SFAA instructors would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for attending classes and supporting us this summer - we hope you’ve had fun in your classes and we certainly think you’ve all earned this break!
As we know that you will all miss us lots over the next two weeks, we thought it would be a good idea to introduce the school and the instructors to you one by one. All of you know a few of the instructors, but might not know the others so well, and you may not know quite how much experience and training they all have! This weekend saw one of our amazing instructors judge at the Bristol Pole Championships, an event that we have attended for the last couple of years! Last year our head instructor Zorena competed at Pro level and came first! This year we didn’t have any professionals competing, but one of our regular students (me) did take part, so we are going to hear from her and Lauren today about their experiences! The 30th of April 2017 will see Solent Fitness & Aerial Arts hosting the amazing Kate Edwards of Spin City fame, for a day of workshops!
Kate Edwards is the owner and director of Spin City Aerial Fitness, one of the largest aerial fitness schools in the UK. A fully qualified fitness instructor, group exercise instructor and personal trainer for over 10 years, Kate specialises in the fitness aspect of aerial training, teaching at her dedicated studios in Bristol, Exeter, Hungerford, Brimpton and Newbury. Today Zorena decided to ask Julie a few questions about judging the Youth Aerial Hoop Competition we ran on Sunday the 19th of February '17. Here are the questions Julie was asked, and the answers she gave... (To see the full report on the competition, as well as a few more sneak preview pictures and the blog from Zorena about how organising the competition went, please see the last blog post, or click here) Sunday the 19th of February saw Solent Fitness & Aerial Arts hosting our 4th annual Youth Aerial Hoop Competition. We've been running this competition to provide some of the local young people who take aerial hoop classes with the opportunity to meet some of their peers and perform to a small audience in a friendly environment!
